Solána Imani Rowe, known professionally as SZA, is an American singer and songwriter. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, she began making music in the early 2010s.
Solàna Imani Rowe, famously known as SZA, was born in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. She was born to an African American Muslim father who was an executive producer at C.N.N., and a Christian mother who was an executive at A.T.&T. She has two siblings, an older half-sister by the name Tiffany Daniels, and an older brother, Daniel, who goes by his rapper stage name, Manhattan.
She dropped out of school to pursue a career in music and started by releasing her debut E.P., “See.SZA.Run,” in 2012. She then released her second E.P., “S,” in 2013 and “Z” in 2014. In the same year, 2014, she released a single titled ‘Child’s Play,’ and was featured on numerous albums by a variety of artists. One can admit that SZA was one busybody in 2014 because she also released a song titled ‘Sobriety’ and revealed that what would’ve been her fourth E.P., “A,” would be released as a studio album instead. In 2017, she released her debut album titled “Ctrl” and collaborated with Maroon 5 to release ‘What Lovers Do.’ Apart from her featuring on “Black Panther’s” lead track, she released ‘Quicksand,’ a song that was featured in H.B.O.’s T.V. series “Insecure.”
SZA attended a Muslim Prep-School every day apart from the regular school she attended. She later attended Columbia High School before going to Essex County College to study liberal arts. She prefers to keep her love life private, but from the little we know, she has been in a relationship with Scott Sasso and a confirmed relationship with Drake.
