Alicia Silverstone was born on October 4, 1976 in San Francisco, California. She is an American actress, producer and author. Her zodiac sign is Libra and her ethnicity is Ashkenazi Jewish. Alicia attended Crocker Middle School and then San Mateo High School where she graduated in 1994.

Silverstone began acting when she was just 6 years old with a role in the Off-Broadway play “Torch Song Trilogy”. At age 16, she made her film debut in “The Crush” (1993). That same year, she starred as Adrian Forrester in the ABC television series The Wonder Years. In 1995, she had a lead role in the teen comedy “Clueless”, which became a major success and launched her career.

Silverstone went on to star in several other films such as Batman & Robin (1997), Blast From The Past (1999), Lost & Found (1999), Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed (2004) and Beauty Shop (2005). In 2009, she appeared on Broadway for the first time as Roxie Hart in Chicago. Her other notable stage credits include “Time Stands Still” (2011) and “The Performers” (2012).

Silverstone has also written two books about vegan lifestyle: The Kind Diet (2009) and The Kind Mama (2014). She is also an animal rights activist and an ambassador for Farm Sanctuary's Adopt-A-Turkey Project which encourages people to adopt turkeys instead of eating them for Thanksgiving dinner.
