Ankita Lokhande is an Indian film and television actress born on December 19, 1984 in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. She completed her primary schooling from the Kasturba School in Indore. Later, she moved to Mumbai to pursue a career in films and television. 

Ankita made her debut with the popular TV series Pavitra Rishta in 2009. She played the role of Archana Deshmukh opposite Sushant Singh Rajput which was well appreciated by both critics and audience alike. The show ran for seven successful years and went on to become one of the most popular daily soaps ever aired in India. After Pavitra Rishta ended, Ankita went on to appear in several other shows such as, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8 and Super Dancer 3. 

In 2019, Ankita made her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi where she essayed the role of Jhalkari Bai. She also appeared in Baaghi 3 alongside Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor. Apart from acting, Ankita is a trained Kathak dancer and loves doing Yoga and Zumba as well as travelling and reading books in her free time.
