Ben Affleck was born on August 15, 1972, in Berkeley, California. His zodiac sign is Leo, and his ethnicity is Irish-Scottish-English. He is the son of Timothy Byers Affleck and Christopher Anne Boldt, and he has two siblings: a brother named Casey and a sister named Charlotte. 

Affleck began his acting career as a child actor in the 1980s with roles in television series such as The Voyage of the Mimi and Hands of a Stranger. He also appeared in several movies such as Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992) and Dazed and Confused (1993). In 1997 he gained wider recognition for his performance in Good Will Hunting, which earned him an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay along with Matt Damon. This marked the beginning of an incredibly successful career that spanned over two decades and included movie appearances in Armageddon (1998), Pearl Harbor (2001), Daredevil (2003), Gone Baby Gone (2007) and The Town (2010). 

In addition to his role as an actor, Affleck has served as a writer, director, producer, co-writer for numerous films including Good Will Hunting, Chasing Amy (1997), Dogma (1999) and Argo (2012), which won him an Academy Award for Best Picture. 

Affleck married Jennifer Garner in 2005; they had three children together before divorcing in 2018. Afterward, he dated Saturday Night Live producer Lindsay Shookus from 2017 to 2018 before starting his current relationship with Ana de Armas in 2020.
