Christina Ricci was born on February 12, 1980 in Santa Monica, California. She is an American actress who began her career at a young age appearing in several commercials and television shows. She then made her feature film debut in 1990's Mermaids.

Ricci had her breakout role in 1991's The Addams Family, and then appeared in such films as Now and Then (1995), Sleepy Hollow (1999), Casper (1995) and Monster (2003). Her most recent roles include the series Z: The Beginning of Everything (2015-2017) and the movie Mother Nature (2020).

Ricci has won multiple awards for her acting including a Saturn Award, Emmy Award nomination, a Blockbuster Entertainment Award and two MTV Movie Awards. She is also known for her activism work where she has been involved with charities such as Autism Speaks, PETA, Save the Children and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
