Her star sign is Aquarius and her ethnicity is Caucasian. Elizabeth attended Pittsfield High School before enrolling at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business. After graduating from college she moved to New York City to pursue a career in acting.

Elizabeth made her big screen debut with the 1998 independent film Surrender Dorothy and had small roles in films such as Wet Hot American Summer and Spider-Man before achieving mainstream recognition for her role as Effie Trinket in The Hunger Games franchise. She also starred in films such as Pitch Perfect 2 and 3, The Lego Movie franchise and Brightburn. In addition to her film career, Elizabeth has also had a successful career in television appearing in series such as 30 Rock and Modern Family.

In 2008 Elizabeth made her directorial debut with the short film Surrogate Valentine followed by her feature debut with Pitch Perfect 2 which earned $287 million worldwide at the box office. She has since directed episodes of Modern Family, Orange Is the New Black, Love Life and Shrill. Elizabeth has earned multiple award nominations throughout her career including two Primetime Emmy Award nominations for producing the TV movie Temple Grandin (2010).
