Claire Elizabeth Cottrill, more commonly known as Clairo, was born on August 18th, 1998 in Carlisle, Massachusetts. She is an American musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. Her zodiac sign is Leo and her ethnicity is Caucasian.

Clairo started writing songs at the age of 12, but it wasn’t until she was 16 that she began to gain recognition for her work. After uploading her song “Pretty Girl” to YouTube in 2017, she soon became a viral sensation with over 50 million views. The song was also featured on BBC Radio 1Xtra and Apple Music’s Beats1 radio show.

In 2018 Clairo released her debut EP Diary 001 which included singles such as “Flaming Hot Cheetos” and “4EVER”. In 2019, Clairo signed with the label Fader Label and released her debut album Immunity which reached #14 on the Billboard 200 chart and was nominated for Best Alternative Album at the 2020 Grammy Awards.

Clairo has also collaborated with other artists such as Khalid, Daniel Caesar and Tegan & Sara. She has performed at music festivals such as Coachella, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza and just recently announced a 2021 tour with singer-songwriter Phoebe Bridgers.
