Joseph Adam Jonas is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. He rose to fame as a member of the pop rock band the Jonas Brothers, alongside his brothers Kevin and Nick. The group released their debut studio album It's About Time through the Columbia label in 2006, which failed to achieve commercial success.

Joe Jonas was born on August 15th, 1989 in Casa Grande, Arizona. His parents are Denise and Paul Kevin Jonas. He has three brothers, Nick, Kevin, and Frankie. As a kid, Joe learned to play the guitar and piano which is how he started his music career.

In 2005, the Jonas Brothers were formed with Joe as the lead vocalist. They released their first album “It’s About Time” that same year. The band went on tour in 2006-2007 and performed at various venues including Radio City Music Hall. Their popularity grew with their album “A Little Bit Longer” reaching number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.

In 2009 Jonas parted ways with his brothers to pursue a solo career releasing an album titled “Fastlife” in 2011 which featured songs like “See No More” and “Just in Love”. He also starred in movies such as Camp Rock, Camp Rock 2: The Final Jam and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.

In 2011 Jonas formed a new band called DNCE alongside Jack Lawless (drums), Cole Whittle (bass/keyboard), and JinJoo Lee (guitar). Together they released their debut single “Cake By The Ocean” which was certified 3x Platinum by the RIAA making it one of their most popular songs to date. Since then they have released two albums “Swaay” (2015) and “DNCE” (2016).

Joe currently resides in Los Angeles where he continues to write music for himself and other artists including Demi Lovato, BTS, Zara Larsson, among others.
