Javorius Tykies Scott, known professionally as JayDaYoungan, was an American rapper and singer. He was best known for his singles "23 Island", "Elimination", and "Opps", which have received 73, 35, and 40 million respective streams on SoundCloud as of November 2022.
JayDaYoungan was born on October 18, 1998, in Jasper, Texas. He is an American rapper who has been active in the music industry since 2017. He grew up in a small town and was raised by his mother and two older brothers. His father was absent from his life. JayDaYoungan’s love for music began when he was just 8 years old and he started writing lyrics as well.
In 2017, JayDaYoungan released his first song “Vibez” which gained him recognition in the rap scene. It wasn’t until 2019 when he released his first full-length album titled “Loyalty Over Love” that he gained success nationally. The album peaked at number 24 on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned several singles such as “Run It Up” and “Time Served”. The following year he released a mixtape titled “Ride With Me” as well as his second studio album “Baby 23”.
Throughout 2020, JayDaYoungan made several appearances on tracks with many notable artists including Lil Baby, Megan Thee Stallion, DaBaby, Young Thug and more. He also received three nominations at the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards for Best Mixtape/Album of the Year, Best New Artist and Lyricist of the Year. In 2021, he released his third studio album titled “The Real Jayson Williams” which debuted at number 15 on the Billboard 200 chart.
