James Warren Jones was an American preacher, political activist, and mass murderer. He led the Peoples Temple, a new religious movement, between 1955 and 1978.
Jim Jones, born Joseph Guillermo Jones II, is an American rapper from New York City. He was born on July 15th, 1976 in The Bronx and grew up in Harlem. From a young age he aspired to become a rap star and began recording his own music at the age of fifteen. He was part of a local hip-hop group known as Children Of The Corn before going solo in 1999.
In 2004, Jim released his debut album “On My Way To Church” which featured guest appearances from Cam'ron and Juelz Santana. His second album “Harlem: Diary Of A Summer” released in 2005, peaked at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and spawned the hit single “We Fly High” which became an anthem for the New York Giants football team.
In 2007, Jim founded ByrdGang Records and released two albums that year, “Pray IV Reign” and “Rise Of An Empire” both certified gold by the RIAA. He then signed to Columbia Records in 2009 and released two albums under them: “Capo” and “Dipset Holiday Season Vol. 2”
Jim has also made appearances in several films including State Property 2 (2005) and Righteous Kill (2008). He has also appeared on television shows such as Entourage (2009) and Hawaii Five-0 (2011). He is currently working on his tenth studio album titled "Vampire Life 4".
