Dave Burd, popularly known as Lil Dicky or LD, was born on March 15, 1988 in Cheltenham Township, Pennsylvania. He is an American rapper and comedian who gained fame through his Youtube channel with over 3 million subscribers. At a young age, he discovered a passion for music and comedy and began writing raps in high school. After graduating from the University of Richmond, he moved to San Francisco to pursue a career in advertising.

In 2013, he released his first song "Ex-Boyfriend" on YouTube which became an instant hit. This was followed by the release of his debut album Professional Rapper which charted at number seven on the Billboard 200 chart and went platinum within a few months. In 2017, he released his second studio album The Beautiful Ugly as well as several singles such as "Freaky Friday", "Pillow Talking" and "Earth". He has also appeared in various television shows like Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Comedy Bang! Bang! and Jimmy Kimmel Live!. In 2019, Lil Dicky was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Music & Lyrics for the song Earth.

Apart from being a musician and comedian, Lil Dicky is also an active philanthropist who founded the charity fund “The Fund for Dave Burd” which supports causes such as poverty alleviation, animal rights and environmental protection.
