Nicks began singing at an early age; she wrote her first song when she was just 16 years old and performed with a band called Fritz in high school. Nicks then embarked on a solo career with the release of her debut album Bella Donna in 1981. The album spawned several hit singles including "Edge of Seventeen" and "Leather and Lace." In 1998, she rejoined Fleetwood Mac for the album The Dance which marked their reunion after a 15-year hiatus.
