    Williamson committed to Duke University in January 2018 and became one of the most highly anticipated college basketball recruits in recent memory due to his incredible athleticism and strength. During his freshman season at Duke, Williamson won numerous awards including ACC Player of the Year and AP College Player of the Year honors as well as being named a consensus first-team All-American and National Freshman of the Year. He finished with averages of 22.6 points and 8.9 rebounds per game, leading Duke to its third NCAA Championship Game appearance in four years before falling to rival North Carolina.

    After one season at Duke, Williamson declared for the 2019 NBA draft where he was selected by the New Orleans Pelicans as the first overall pick. In his rookie season with the Pelicans, he averaged 23.6 points on 58% shooting from the field as well as 6.8 rebounds and 2 assists per game while being named an NBA All-Star starter for the first time in his career. Zion has already established himself as one of the best players in the league and is widely recognized as one of basketball's biggest stars today thanks to his incredible physical gifts, highlight reel dunks and high energy playstyle.
